Carpet Complaint investigation
James is a Woolsafe Certified Carpet Inspector.
We feel privileged to have learnt with world expert textile technologist and carpet inspector Dr. Eric Brown.
In order to gain this accreditation a minimum of five years’ professional experience has to be gained before taking a number of courses and successfully passing the requisite exams.
Our clients include manufactures, retailers, carpet fitters, carpet cleaners and end users.
The installation can be either in a commercial or domestic setting.
If a carpet complaint is submitted to us it is our job to verify the causes of that complaint.
We will independently investigate, gather information and process the cause of complaint for the client.
The findings relating to the specific problem and its cause can be demonstrated to the client via a written report.
The report will contain concise objective information needed to assist them in making any further decisions required.
If you feel you have concerns for any matter regarding the care or performance of your carpets or other textile coverings, we are always happy to assist wherever possible.
Our services are based in Carmarthenshire South Wales but also include the whole of the UK and further afield.
If our more discerning clients require it services abroad can also be arranged.
Examples of complaints can include but are not limited to.
Yarn processing
Wool carpets start life in the field a product from sheep.
A fault may develop during the processing of the yarns used in the manufacture of carpets and subsequently develop issues for the end user. Despite the high quality and consistency of modern production problems may still arise.
Installation faults.
Did you know there is a British Standard for the installation of textile floor coverings? It can be found in British Standard BSI 5325 2001.
If a carpet is to last and perform according to the manufacturers specification it is also important to have it fitted correctly.
Cleaning Malpractice.
In order for our fabrics to perform and last well they directly benefit from being clean.
Unfortunately, it’s not uncommon to see carpets perfectly cleaned and perfectly ruined even if it’s not always obvious at first.
We have onsite and offsite laboratory facilities to assist our determination in the case of a complaint.
If you feel you have concerns for any matter regarding the care or performance of your carpets or other textile coverings, we are always happy to assist wherever possible.
